Community
The Gent del Pla project is an annual initiative designed to bring together individuals and initiatives from the Pla de Mallorca region, facilitating the exchange of ideas and fostering collaboration. Now in its third edition, the project has successfully introduced a wide range of interesting profiles from the region, helping to build a stronger, more connected community. Each gathering features the collective viewing of a pre-recorded video interview with a noteworthy individual or initiative, sparking discussions and connections among participants.
The Pla de Mallorca lacks sufficient spaces for fostering mutual understanding and collaboration among individuals and initiatives that contribute to the social and cultural development of the region. There is a clear need to create opportunities for the exchange of ideas and the formation of collaborative networks that can drive community growth.
The Solution
Gent del Pla addresses this need by curating and coordinating a series of meetings that highlight significant social and cultural contributions within the Pla de Mallorca. The project involves identifying and selecting individuals or initiatives with meaningful proposals, conducting video interviews, and crafting these into mini-documentaries. These videos are then shared on YouTube and presented at public gatherings, which are promoted through social media and the networks of Pla de Mallorca XXI. Each event provides a platform for viewing the documentary, followed by a discussion among attendees.

Future Outlook
Having completed three successful editions, Gent del Pla plans to continue as an annual event, with aims to expand the selection of individuals and initiatives featured and increase public participation. The project will also continue to enhance its impact through broader community engagement and the development of new collaborative opportunities.
